Quality Cabarrus is committed to supporting and improving the way Cabarrus County and our municipal governments view their role in creating jobs and economic development. We believe that strong, informed leadership is critical to advancing new employment opportunities for the Cabarrus community.

Quality Cabarrus’ mission is to educate Cabarrus County elected officials and the general public about the value local county and state economic development programs offer to advance job creation. An active and thriving corporate community partner should support and improve our county tax base, have thriving relationships with our nonprofits, improve educational opportunities, support current local businesses, and work well with our government employees and officials. These relationships will help Cabarrus County continue to be a great place to work, enabling employees and families to thrive, live, and grow for generations to come.

What We Believe

Quality Cabarrus believes that effective leaders should:

  • Support the efforts of the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation and The Chamber.

  • Acknowledge that economic incentives are necessary for Cabarrus County to compete with other local and state governments in recruiting new industries and expanding existing industries.

  • Support economic incentives that create additional jobs for the citizens of Cabarrus County and increase tax revenue for local governments.

  • Support the elimination and/or modification of county regulations that unnecessarily and unreasonably constrain the growth of business and the creation of new jobs.

  • Support vigilance over and good stewardship of public funds, efficiency in county government, and reasonable efforts to reduce unnecessary public spending.

  • Support efforts to balance good government with constant efforts to control and reduce, where possible, the tax burden on individuals and businesses in Cabarrus County.

These guidelines lay out a common-sense way to foster economic development and job growth in Cabarrus County.
