Meet Ingrid Nurse
Ingrid Nurse was born and raised in Cabarrus County, and for more than 50 years she has proudly served the community she calls home. As an educator, community leader, and lifelong advocate for others, Ingrid has spent her career putting people first.
Ingrid has watched Cabarrus County grow and change over the decades. While she recognizes the opportunities that growth has brought, she also understands the challenges it creates. She believes the County can embrace progress while still protecting the values, neighborhoods, and quality of life that make Cabarrus County special.
Throughout her career, Ingrid has dedicated herself to serving others. Working as an educator, served on the Planning & Zoning Commission, supported local families through the Cabarrus County Hunger Task Force, and helped individuals build brighter futures through Rehabilitation Services. She is also actively involved with the International Minority Coalition (IMC), Down Home North Carolina, the Black Political Caucus, and the African American Caucus. These organizations are focused on strengthening neighborhoods and advocating for local families.
Why Ingrid Nurse Is the Right Choice for Cabarrus County
As a lifelong resident, Ingrid understands Cabarrus County’s concerns because she has lived them alongside her neighbors. Her decades of hands-on experience, from the classroom to the Planning & Zoning Commission, give her a rare, practical understanding of how growth and community needs intersect at the local level.
